A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to move into the Mid-South this afternoon and evening, a Mid-South weather update said.
The update said the primary hazards will be damaging winds, heavy downpours and frequent lightning.
Forecasters included simulated radar timing in the update to help residents plan and stay weather-aware, the update said.
The update advised residents to secure outdoor furniture before 4 p.m. and to make sure they have a way to receive weather alerts if warnings are issued.
