Suspect charged in vehicle burglary at Barnes Crossing Volkswagen
Authorities have charged a man in connection with a vehicle burglary at Barnes Crossing Volkswagen on North Gloster Street.
On May 10, officers responded to the scene after a victim reported property stolen from their vehicle while at work. Surveillance footage was collected during the investigation, according to police.
Following further investigation, 47-year-old Jamie M. Lober of Saltillo was charged with one count of burglary of a vehicle on Aug. 18, police said. Lober had been previously arrested on unrelated charges.
On Aug. 20, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Lober to be held without bond. The charges are scheduled to be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, authorities added.
