Three Lee County defendants sentenced in meth cases

Three Lee County residents were sentenced this week for methamphetamine offenses, the First Circuit District Attorney’s office said in a news release dated Aug. 28, 2026.

Tellie Mairidith, 49, pleaded guilty Aug. 24 to two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, the office said. Circuit Judge John R. White sentenced Mairidith to 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with 30 years suspended, leaving 10 years to serve, followed by five years of post-release supervision. Because Mairidith was convicted of trafficking narcotics, he must serve the full 10-year term with no parole or early release, the release said.

Gregory Vincent Baker, 44, pleaded guilty Aug. 24 to multiple charges of selling and possessing methamphetamine, the office said. Judge White sentenced Baker to 60 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with 35 years suspended, leaving 25 years to serve, followed by five years of post-release supervision. The office said Baker’s offenses were investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit.

Corintheis Cullins, 31, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to trafficking methamphetamine, the release said. Judge White sentenced Cullins to 40 years, with 32 years suspended, leaving eight years to serve, followed by five years of post-release supervision. Because Cullins was convicted of trafficking narcotics, he must serve the full eight-year term with no parole or early release, the office said.

The release credited investigations by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and said Assistant District Attorney Megan French prosecuted the cases on behalf of the state. The First Circuit District Attorney’s office, led by Jason D. Herring, expressed appreciation for the agencies’ work, the release said.
