The Wilkinson County Disaster Service Center will close permanently at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, officials said.
Officials said Monday is also the deadline for residents affected by the May 6-7 severe storms (DR-4922) to apply for assistance.
Residents can visit any Disaster Service Center location for help, officials said. Officials added that residents do not have to visit a center to apply.
FEMA said applicants can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, through the FEMA app or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
