Tupelo man charged with felony fleeing after traffic stop
Police say officers attempted to stop a vehicle on North Gloster Street around 1:10 a.m. Saturday. The driver fled northbound on Gloster Street, prompting a pursuit through Tupelo, authorities reported.
The suspect was arrested just outside the Tupelo city limits and taken to the Lee County Jail. On Monday, authorities identified the driver as Airial N. Crisp, 20, of Houlka.
Following further investigation, Crisp was charged with one count of felony fleeing, police said. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Crisp held on a $5,000 bond. The case is scheduled to be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, officials added.
