Tupelo man sentenced to 12 years for fentanyl trafficking
Alderius Rashad Morrow pleaded guilty May 4 to trafficking fentanyl and was sentenced to 12 years in custody, the District Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
Circuit Court Judge Kelly L. Mims imposed a 40-year prison term and suspended 28 years, leaving Morrow with 12 years to serve, the release said.
The release said Morrow is not eligible for parole or early release because of the trafficking conviction and must serve the full 12-year sentence day for day.
The District Attorney’s Office credited the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit with investigating Morrow’s criminal activity and said Assistant District Attorney Megan French prosecuted the case on behalf of the state.
The information was released by Jason D. Herring, district attorney for the First Circuit Court District, in the office’s May 4 press release.
