Weaver sentenced to 20 years for sale of methamphetamine

Shawn Weaver, 49, was sentenced to 20 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to sale of methamphetamine, the First Circuit District Attorney’s Office said.

Circuit Court Judge Kelly Mims handed down the sentence on Aug. 26, 2026, in Tishomingo County Circuit Court, the office said.

Assistant District Attorney Clay Cummings prosecuted the case on behalf of the state, the release said.

The First Circuit District Attorney’s Office commended the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics for its investigation and work on the matter. The statement was signed by Jason D. Herring, district attorney for the First Circuit Court District.
