ICE Detains Hancock County High School Students Waiting for Bus, Report Says
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained two Hancock County high school students as they waited for a school bus, the Mississippi Free Press reported.
The brothers, Max and Israel Makoka, were taken and detained over a paperwork issue, the Mississippi Free Press said.
The report said neither the brothers nor their host family knew about the paperwork issue. Israel Makoka was weeks away from graduating, the newspaper reported.
