Shooting on highway leaves one dead inside of vehicle.

On Monday, June 13, 2022 at approximately 11:23 p.m., Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a motorist, who was traveling U.S. Highway 61 South in Dundee, regarding a shooting inside of a motor vehicle.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they identified a 24-year-old female, Porshia Robinson of Rolling Fork, MS, whom had a domestic dispute and was assaulted by her brother, 27-year-old Javonta Marshall of Southaven, MS. Upon arrival, Sheriff Deputies discovered Javonta Marshall in the back seat of the vehicle unresponsive with a single gunshot wound. Paramedics were called the scene and Javonta Marshall was dead on arrival. There was another male in the vehicle, who was identified as an off-duty police officer. Both, the off-duty police officer and sister of the victim, were taken to the Sheriff’s Office and released by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI), who has charge in this case.
