Trump-endorsed David Flippo wins Nevada GOP primary for House seat

Retired Lt. Col. David Flippo, who received an endorsement from President Donald Trump, is projected to win Nevada’s Republican primary for the state’s 2nd Congressional District, according to Decision Desk HQ.

Flippo’s victory in Tuesday’s primary comes in the open seat left by retiring Rep. Mark Amodei, who has held the district for 15 years. The district is Nevada’s only Republican-held congressional seat.

The primary results set the stage for the general election, where Flippo will face Democratic candidates vying for the seat. The outcome of the race will determine who represents the district in the upcoming congressional session.
