Decision Desk HQ projected that Vermont Gov. Phil Scott will face progressive Democrat Amanda Janoo in the November general election, the election-forecasting group said.
Scott has served as governor since his election in 2016 and is running for a sixth term.
Decision Desk HQ identified Janoo as the progressive Democrat who will be Scott’s opponent in November.
Scott is widely considered a moderate Republican, a characterization cited by political observers, setting up a race that contrasts his record with Janoo’s progressive label.
