Ving Rhames collapses at North Hollywood restaurant, rep says he’s ‘on his way home’

Ving Rhames, 66, collapsed while eating at the Granville restaurant in North Hollywood and was taken to a hospital Wednesday, his representative confirmed, Variety reported.

His manager, Brad Kramer, told Variety that Rhames “sounded like everyday Ving and cracked a joke over the phone.” TMZ reported, citing a representative for Rhames, that the actor became “overheated” while at the restaurant. Fox News Digital said it reached out to Rhames’ representative for comment.

Rhames has appeared in all eight “Mission: Impossible” films and is known for his role in 1994’s “Pulp Fiction.” He currently hosts the docuseries “History’s Deadliest” on the History Channel.

Rhames recently told Fox News Digital that Tom Cruise “made it quite safe for us” on the “Mission: Impossible” productions and that Cruise “does not see color,” adding that one of Cruise’s lessons was to “treat each person fairly.”
