Blue Mountain, Pine Grove, Ripley and Walnut are scheduled to run Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Topper Trails High School Classic at Blue Mountain Christian University. The varsity girls’ race begins at 4:15 p.m. and the boys’ race at 5 p.m., Jon Myers reported for Tippah County Sports.
Cross-country and volleyball
The 5K races use the university trails opposite its baseball-softball complex. TippahSports.com’s daily schedule report, also by Myers, lists Pine Grove volleyball at Biggersville in Corinth at 5:30 p.m. The broader Topper Trails report lists Falkner at Wheeler at 6 p.m. and Walnut at Hatley at 6 p.m. Ripley’s next listed volleyball event is Saturday’s Tippah County Tournament at Pine Grove; opponents and match times were not posted.
Thursday golf
Walnut is listed to play at Corinth at 9 a.m., and Falkner has a nine-hole outing at Booneville at 2 p.m. Ripley lists nine holes in Ripley without a posted start time. The source report did not identify opponents or gender divisions for those golf entries.
