FCC Investigating cell phone companies over claimed coverage areas
The FCC is investigating claims by phone companies of where their service is available as outlined in service maps given to consumers, according to Brandon Presley of the PSC.
From Mr. Presley:
BREAKING: The FCC has opened a formal investigation into cell phone carriers claims of having service available in many areas where we know they do not. Less than two weeks after we submitted evidence to the FCC challenging these lies, they have suspended the process and opened an investigation. More to follow. Thank you to our Mississippi Task Force members!
The task force has been operating for the last several months submitting data.
