Northeast Mississippi Community College honors 16 in prison education program
Northeast Mississippi Community College said it honored 16 Spring 2026 completion candidates in its Prison Education Program.
The college said the ceremony recognized students including two who earned Humanities Certificates and two who completed their HiSET.
The Prison Education Program is a partnership between the college and the Mississippi Humanities Council, the college said.
The college said the program continues to demonstrate the transformative impact education can have for incarcerated individuals and underscores the importance of opportunity and learning within the correctional system.
