The Mississippi Department of Transportation said it is continuing its Bike Safety Month observance and offering safety tips for riders. MDOT Public Information Officer Barrett Wilson shared the agency’s top recommendations, the department said.
MDOT said the department also posted details on popular bicycle routes, state laws and other safety considerations in its Mississippi Bicycling Guide. The agency said the guide is intended for biking enthusiasts and people who share the road with cyclists.
The guide is available as a free digital download at http://GoMDOT.com/BikeAndPed, MDOT said. Free physical copies can be ordered at http://GoMDOT.com/Maps, the department added.
