Mason Clemons, 18, of Pontotoc, was charged with one count of felony shoplifting after police say he stole an item worth more than $2,400 from the Best Buy at 3040 North Gloster Street on April 18.
Officers were dispatched to the store on April 18, police said. Store personnel told officers two people entered together, one of the two left the store, and the remaining person took the item, authorities said.
After further investigation, police charged Clemons on April 24, officials said.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Clemons held on $5,000 bond on April 24, police said. The case will be presented to the Lee County grand jury, authorities added.
