Tupelo man arrested in Kellex Seating break-in, vehicle theft

A Tupelo man was arrested June 12 and charged with burglary of a commercial building and motor vehicle theft after police said a suspect broke into a local business and stole a company vehicle.

Officers responded June 8 to 121 North Industrial Road, the location of Kellex Seating, after business personnel discovered a break-in, Tupelo police said. Employees told officers a suspect had broken into the business, taken the keys to a company vehicle and left the scene in the vehicle, police said.

Police arrested 37-year-old Daniel Gonzalez of Tupelo on June 12 and charged him with one count of burglary of a commercial building and one count of motor vehicle theft, Tupelo police said. Authorities said the charges will be presented to the Lee County grand jury.

Tupelo Municipal Court records show Judge Allen ordered Gonzalez held on a $15,000 bond on June 14. The records also show the Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on Gonzalez.
