3 days left to apply for storm aid, Mississippi agency says
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said residents in counties affected by the Jan. 23-27 winter storms have three days left to apply for assistance.
MEMA said applications can be submitted online, by phone, through the FEMA app or by visiting one of its disaster service centers.
The agency listed centers in Alcorn, Lafayette, Panola, Leflore, Benton, Yazoo, Carroll, Coahoma, Montgomery, Tallahatchie, Pontotoc, Marshall and Tishomingo counties. MEMA said centers are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
MEMA reminded residents to apply before the deadline and said the listed options are available to help secure assistance.
