Five days left to apply for FEMA aid after Jan. 23-27 winter storms

Residents in counties affected by the Jan. 23-27 winter storms have five days left to apply for assistance, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said.

FEMA said Disaster Service Centers are located in Alcorn, Lafayette, Panola, Leflore, Benton, Yazoo, Carroll, Coahoma, Montgomery, Tallahatchie, Pontotoc, Marshall and Tishomingo counties.

Applicants may apply online, by phone, through the FEMA app or by visiting a Disaster Service Center, FEMA said.

FEMA said centers are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents were urged to apply before the five-day deadline, FEMA said.
