Heat advisory issued as early summer heat wave hits Mid-South
An early summer heat wave begins today across the Mid-South, the National Weather Service in Memphis said.
The agency said a heat advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today for much of the region.
Heat indices in excess of 105 degrees Fahrenheit are anticipated, the service said.
The National Weather Service in Memphis posted the warning on its official channels, the agency said.
