Organizers said Disaster Preparedness Day will be held Saturday, June 26, 2026, at the Lowe’s at 2250 Greenway Drive in Jackson to help residents prepare for storms and emergencies.
The event will provide information on preparing for storms and other emergencies, and will connect residents with local preparedness resources, organizers said.
Organizers said the program is aimed at giving residents practical steps they can take before, during and after severe weather and other crises.
Organizers promoted the event with the tagline “Stay Prepared, Mississippi!”
