Man charged with two vehicle burglaries after Ingram Drive incident

A man was charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle after officers responded Aug. 29 to reports of a person looking into vehicles on Ingram Drive, authorities said.

Authorities identified the suspect as Tiyosha L. Pratt, 29, of Nettleton. Officers contacted an individual matching the description — dressed in all black — and found drug paraphernalia and a large amount of U.S. currency, authorities said.

Two people on Ingram Drive told officers they saw the suspect enter their vehicles, authorities said. The statements were part of the investigation that followed the initial response.

On Aug. 30, Pratt was charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle and Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Pratt held without bond, authorities said. At the time of the arrest, Pratt was out on bond on a previous felony charge, authorities said. The charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, authorities added.
