Tupelo man arrested after series of vehicle burglaries and credit card fraud

Authorities arrested Terrell M. Franklin Jr., 23, of Tupelo on April 11 and charged him with one count of burglary of a dwelling, two counts of burglary of an automobile and two counts of credit card fraud, authorities said.

Police responded April 11 to multiple reports of burglaries in the area of Highland Circle and North Madison Street after victims said items were stolen from vehicles and from an enclosed building at a residence, authorities said. Stolen credit cards were reportedly used multiple times, authorities said.

On April 13, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Franklin held on $75,000 bond, authorities said. The case will be presented to the Lee County grand jury, authorities said.

A juvenile suspect was also apprehended in connection with the incidents. Charges for the juvenile will be handled in Lee County Youth Court, authorities said.
