Marginal Severe-Thunderstorm Risk Added North of I-40

A 12 p.m. weather update added a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for severe thunderstorms today for areas north of the I-40 corridor, the update said.

The update identified damaging wind gusts as the primary threat and isolated large hail as a secondary threat.

The update advised residents to secure loose patio furniture.
