“At the height of summer construction season, many infrastructure projects in the southwestern region of the state are meeting milestones and making strong, consistent headway,” Commissioner Charles Busby, Southern Transportation District, said. “I’m proud of the progress made thus far to move these projects forward and anticipate continued momentum as we work to improve the safety and quality of our state’s transportation system.”

MDOT said the update covers projects in District 7, which spans Adams, Amite, Covington, Franklin, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Pike, Simpson, Smith, Walthall and Wilkinson counties.
