The Mississippi Department of Human Services said its mission remains to protect residents, promote quality care and empower individuals to speak up, regardless of circumstance.
The department said those efforts are carried out through its long-term care ombudsman program, which it described as a resource for residents and families.
MDHS said people seeking information about the program or wishing to speak with a local ombudsman can call 1-888-844-0041.
