Disaster Service Centers in five Mississippi counties are open to residents affected by the May 6-7 severe storms, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said.
The centers allow residents to meet face-to-face with recovery specialists from the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration, the agency said.
The centers are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the agency said.
Residents who cannot apply in person can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, call toll-free 800-621-FEMA (3362) or use the free FEMA app, the agency said. Applicants should use disaster number DR-4922 when applying.
