National Weather Service Warns of Flash Flood Risk Across Much of Mississippi
The National Weather Service warned that much of Mississippi faces a risk of flash flooding from Monday, June 15, through Tuesday night, June 16, 2026.
The agency said the threat could produce areas of flash flooding, cause roads to be flooded or closed, and threaten some structures with inundation.
The National Weather Service urged residents to stay weather aware, identify alternate routes and follow the “Turn Around, Don’t Drown” guidance when encountering flooded roads.
The agency advised monitoring local forecasts and warnings for updates and information on specific impacts.
