A social media post ahead of the college football season’s start urged fans to drive carefully when traveling to games, tailgates or home, the post said.
The post listed a series of safety steps, advising drivers to secure their loads, put phones away, buckle up, slow down and drive sober, according to the post.
It encouraged fans to “make it a safe journey,” whether their destination was the stadium, a tailgate or home, the post said. The message included hashtags such as #MShwys, #NCAA, #CollegeFootball and #RoadToGameDay.
The post used celebratory language and emojis and closed with the line, “Play it smart to make it home,” according to the message.
