Radiational cooling could make mornings colder than forecast, meteorologist says
Near-perfect radiational cooling could push temperatures lower than currently forecast, a meteorologist posted on social media said.
The post said radiational cooling — which occurs under clear skies and light to calm winds — can allow surface heat to escape rapidly.
The meteorologist warned that temperatures could be as cool, or cooler, than those shown in an accompanying image for tomorrow morning.
The social media post included hashtags referencing Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee.
