Tupelo honors Sgt. Kevin Gale Stauffer on National Peace Officers Memorial Day

A statement marking National Peace Officers Memorial Day said the city honored Sgt. Kevin Gale Stauffer Jr. and other officers who died in the line of duty.

The statement said Stauffer served the City of Tupelo with pride and dedication and that his service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

It said the city also remembered every fallen officer across the country who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting their communities.

The statement asked that the families of all fallen officers and the men and women still serving be kept in thoughts and prayers and concluded, “Honor. Remember. Never Forget.”
