NEMCC student becomes first graduate of logistics program and Hago apprentice

NEMCC said Jaxson Laster became the first-ever graduate of its Logistics program and the first Logistics Apprentice at Hago Automotive, and is working toward a Journeyman credential as a logistics engineer.

According to NEMCC, Laster completed the college’s Logistics Management Technology program while participating in the Tiger Apprenticeship, working hands-on at Hago Automotive as he earned his degree. The college said he earned 17 certifications and completed an international apprenticeship opportunity in Germany.

“Like a lot of seniors, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do,” Laster said. “I was still trying to figure out my path. That all started to change when my high school toured Hago Automotive.”

“This program gave me direction, confidence, and a head start in life,” Laster said. He urged other students who are unsure about their futures to consider the opportunities available through NEMCC’s programs, saying “when you take a chance and work hard, so much can come from it.”
