Tupelo police host youth softball camp
The Tupelo Police Department said School Resource Officers recently hosted a Youth Softball Summer Camp to teach young athletes, help them build skills and have fun on the field.
The department said volunteer coaches — Coach Hogue of Tupelo High School and Coach Ward of Belmont High School — helped lead drills and instruction and played a key role in making the camp a success.
The department also thanked the children who participated and the parents who allowed them to attend, saying officers enjoyed spending the week with everyone.
The Tupelo Police Department said it looks forward to hosting the camp again.
