Tupelo police host youth archery summer camp

The Tupelo Police Department said its school resource officers hosted a youth archery summer camp this summer, teaching local children the basics of archery.

Participants learned how to safely handle and shoot a bow and arrow in a fun, controlled environment, the department said.

The department thanked the children who took part and the parents who entrusted officers with part of their summer, saying the officers had a great time.

The department said it hopes everyone enjoyed the experience as much as the officers did.
