Tupelo Police Department Wraps Up Summer D.A.R.E. Camp

The Tupelo Police Department said school resource officers wrapped up a weeklong Summer D.A.R.E. Camp that gave children opportunities to build friendships and learn life skills, the department said in a social media post.

Campers visited local sites including Skate Zone, Buffalo Park, Malco, EventZona and the Tupelo Aquatic Center, the department said.

The department said campers also had an up-close look at a medical helicopter and learned about its role in emergency response.

The Tupelo Police Department thanked community partners who helped run the camp and parents for allowing their children to attend. The department said it hopes participants had a fun, safe and memorable experience.
