Tupelo police re-accredited by MSLEAC
The Tupelo Police Department said it has been re-accredited by the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (MSLEAC) through the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, the department said.
The department said Tupelo is one of only 39 accredited law enforcement agencies in the state and has maintained accreditation for more than a decade.
The accreditation, the department said, confirms continued compliance with statewide standards in policy, training, operations and accountability.
The department said the process is rigorous, with audits every three years, and that it continuously updates policies and standards to exceed compliance.
The department said the accreditation process was overseen by Captain Doug Mansell and Sergeant Kevin Parker Jr. A photo provided by the department shows, left to right, Sergeant Kevin Parker Jr., Chief John Quaka and Captain Doug Mansell.
