Two Tupelo officers graduate from North Mississippi training center
Two new patrol officers for the Tupelo Police Department graduated Friday from the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center, the department said.
Officer Barrett Walls graduated as squad 1 leader, earned the Physical Training Award, placed second in firearms and was named Top Cop, the department said.
Officer Joe Willard placed second in physical training, the department said. Both officers will begin the department’s Field Training Program as they continue preparing to serve the citizens of Tupelo, the department added.
The department identified those pictured left to right as Corporal Tutor, Director McKinney, Officer Willard, Officer Walls, Chief Quaka, Deputy Chief Hill, Assistant Director Clark and Lieutenant Cook, the department said.
