Both directions of U.S. 49 between West Pine Street and Country Club Road in Forrest County will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning June 1 through July 3, the Mississippi Department of Transportation said.
MDOT said the closures are to allow Norfolk Southern crews to perform railroad trestle repairs.
The department said detour signage will be in place and motorists should consider alternate routes. MDOT also urged drivers to be on high alert for roadside workers.
