Jabil plans nearly 2,200 jobs in Mississippi with new investment

Jabil is expanding its presence in Mississippi with a new $119 million investment in Marshall County, creating about 2,200 jobs, Gov. Tate Reeves announced Tuesday.

The company will open a production facility in Marshall County, marking its second investment there in recent months. In September 2025, Jabil announced a $70 million investment to establish X-ray sterilization capabilities at a 100,000-square-foot facility, which added 24 jobs.

Reeves called the projects among the largest in state history and highlighted the rapid growth, noting that Jabil is expanding just nine months after its first Marshall County announcement. He said the investments demonstrate Mississippi’s thriving manufacturing sector and the state’s ability to attract major projects.

Jabil is purchasing and renovating a 1.5 million-square-foot facility to support data center infrastructure customers. Matt Crowley, Jabil’s executive vice president of global business units and intelligent infrastructure, said the company recognizes the increasing demand for building data centers in the United States and aims to meet that need with the new Marshall County facility.

Jabil, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, operates in more than 25 countries with over 140,000 employees. In 2025, the company reported approximately $30 billion in revenue and maintains more than 35 million square feet of manufacturing space across more than 100 sites worldwide. The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive program, with additional support from Marshall County, AccelerateMS, and the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Bill Cork, executive director of the Mississippi Development Authority, emphasized the significance of Jabil’s project, calling it a demonstration of the state’s competitiveness in advanced manufacturing and global demand sectors.
