Fox News reported on Sept. 23, 2026, that the Indiana Fever defeated the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx 96–77 in the Fever’s final regular-season home game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The report said Indiana built a 23-point lead before halftime — the largest deficit of the season for Minnesota — and that the Lynx were without rookie guard Olivia Miles, who sat out with a calf injury.
Caitlin Clark led the Fever with 27 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, according to Fox News. The outlet said Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell combined for 67 points, and that Mitchell extended a streak to 27 consecutive games with 20 or more points.
Fox News wrote that Minnesota’s coach Cheryl Reeve turned to reserves for an extended third-quarter stretch, during which the Lynx cut the margin back to single digits before Indiana pulled away again.
The report noted a rotation change for Indiana compared with the previous game: Sophie Cunningham received significantly more minutes than rookie Raven Johnson on Tuesday, and Fox News said Indiana’s offense appeared smoother with Cunningham on the floor.
Clark was quoted in the report saying, “I thought our third quarter was a bit sloppy,” and added that overall the Fever’s pace and offensive intent were good, per Fox News.
Fox News said the Fever will finish the regular season on Sept. 24, 2026, with a rematch against the Lynx in Minnesota.
