Senate Democrats introduce bill to block Trump ‘anti-weaponization’ fund
Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., introduced legislation Monday aimed at blocking what they called the Trump administration’s “anti-weaponization” fund, the senators said.
The measure, dubbed the Drain the Slush Fund Act, would bar the use of taxpayer money for payments to President Trump, the senators said.
The Justice Department scrapped the fund earlier Monday, the department said.
The senators unveiled the bill by filing it in the Senate on Monday, according to their offices.
