JTRAN contract talks stalled, union says
Contract negotiations between JTRAN union workers and the company that operates the transit system remained at a standstill as of July 3, 2026, union leaders told WJTV.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said closures will begin at 9 a.m. March 11 and last about six weeks, affecting Old Highway 57 and Gautier Vancleave Road in Jackson County. Motorists are advised to use the State Route 57 south frontage road and the Gautier Vancleave connector.
