Funeral arrangements set for Hickory Flat man who died in weekend ATV accident

Funeral arrangements have been set for the Hickory Flat man who died over the weekend as a result of an accident.

Jesse Williams passed away over the weekend in an ATV accident in Montgomery County.

Jesse David Williams, 32, died Saturday, August 18, 2018, at UMMC in Grenada. He was born March 31, 1986, in Tupelo, MS. He was a member of Cornersville Baptist Church. He was employed at C. W. Williams Garage. He was a loving husband and father. He was a cattleman. He had been an avid racer, winning races on dirt and asphalt.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Flat Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Howell and Bro. Gary Yates officiating. Burial will be in Amaziah Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife: Anna Cook Williams; his parents: Chuck and Cindy Williams of Hickory Flat; 1 daughter: Laklin Maddox Williams and 1 son: Kase Levi Williams, both of the home; his maternal grandparents: Clarence and Jane Westmoreland of Sherman; and his paternal grandfather: C. W. Williams of Hickory Flat.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Faye Mills.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Akin, Justin Akin, Joey Wait, Nathan King, Richard Barnett, Pat Goode, David Ash, and Wesley Poole. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Vanzant, Michael Autry, Wyatt Westmoreland, Blake Chism, Dustin Neal, Josh Lamoore, Charles Chitton, and Daniel Whaley.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, at Flat Rock Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers you may contribute to the Jess Williams Memorial Fund at Merchants and Farmers Bank of Hickory Flat, MS., or Holly Springs, MS.
