Tippah County distribution center adding 200 jobs
A major employer in Tippah County is growing even further, adding an additional 200 jobs to their 400+ workforce in the county.
According to Representative Jody Steverson:
In March 2010, Dirt Cheap Distribution Center opened in Blue Mountain with 25 employees. Over the last nine years, the distribution center and retail store have grown to nearly 400 jobs in our local community. Today, I am proud to announce the company is once again growing and will add another 200 jobs to our local facility and store bringing the total jobs to 600. This is huge news for Tippah County and the Town of Blue Mountain.
The Blue Mountain operations have been a key part of Dirt Cheap’s plan for retail expansion in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee as it serves outlets within a 4 hour radius of Blue Mountain.
I continue to be impressed with businesses and industry in our area that are committed to bringing more jobs and investment. I look forward to working with the Tippah County Development Association on attracting new businesses to make sure Tippah County continues to be a great place to live and work. Thank you for the opportunity to serve the people of District 4 in Tippah and Alcorn Counties.
