Daycare operator and husband charged in molestation case

A husband and his wife who operated a daycare from their home have been charged with child molestation.

John Westmoreland and his wife Sherry have been charged with sex crimes against minor children ranging from 10-12 years old.

The incidents allegedly happened in the couples Lafayette county home over a span of six months.

John is charged with touching a child for lustful purposes while Sherry is charged with child neglect and failure to file a report.

They are being held in Lafayette county jail on $750,000 and $500,000 bond respectively.
