JACKSON, Miss. — Jeremy McGee was sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to fentanyl trafficking in Mississippi, according to court records.
The sentencing occurred August 3, 2026, in Circuit Court before Judge Kelly L. Mims. McGee was convicted of trafficking fentanyl and must serve the full 12-year sentence without the possibility of parole or early release, as mandated by law.
Judge Mims suspended an additional 28 years on the charge and ordered McGee to complete five years of post-release supervision after serving his sentence, court officials said. The case was investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit.
The District Attorney’s Office praised NMNU agents for their efforts in removing dangerous narcotics from North Mississippi streets. Assistant District Attorney Megan French prosecuted the case on behalf of the state.
Jason D. Herring, district attorney for the First Circuit Court District, emphasized the importance of law enforcement’s work in combating drug trafficking in the region.
