Jeremy McGee pleaded guilty before Circuit Court Judge Kelly L. Mims on Aug. 3, 2026, and was sentenced to 12 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, the District Attorney’s office said.
Judge Mims suspended an additional 28 years on the trafficking charge and ordered McGee to complete five years of post-release supervision following his term of incarceration, the office said.
The District Attorney’s office said that because McGee was convicted of trafficking, he must serve the full 12-year sentence day-for-day without the possibility of parole or early release.
The case was investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Megan French on behalf of the State of Mississippi, the release said. District Attorney Jason D. Herring commended NMNU agents for their work removing dangerous narcotics from North Mississippi streets, the office added.
