JACKSON, Miss. — A Mississippi man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking fentanyl, according to court records.
Jeremy McGee appeared before Circuit Court Judge Kelly L. Mims on August 3, 2026, and admitted to the drug charge. The judge sentenced him to serve the full 12-year term without the possibility of parole or early release. Mims also suspended an additional 28 years on the charge and ordered McGee to complete five years of post-release supervision after serving his prison time.
The case was investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit. The District Attorney’s Office praised agents for their efforts to remove dangerous narcotics from the streets of North Mississippi. Assistant District Attorney Megan French prosecuted the case on behalf of the state.
Jason D. Herring, district attorney for the First Circuit Court District, announced the sentence and commended law enforcement for their work in the case.
