Ripley Main Street plans outdoor movie, back-to-school bash Aug. 14-15

Ripley Main Street announced two community events at The Cut-Off on Friday, Aug. 14, and Saturday, Aug. 15, the organization said. Movie Night will feature Zootopia 2 at dusk on Aug. 14, followed by a Back to School Bash on Aug. 15. The Cut-Off is at 204 South Commerce Street in Ripley, Mississippi.

The Movie Night is free and family friendly, Ripley Main Street said. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets and can enjoy popcorn during the screening. Rebel Services LLC is sponsoring the evening, the organization said.

The Back to School Bash will include face painting, games, pop-up vendors, food trucks and a school supply giveaway, Ripley Main Street said. The organization said the event will celebrate the start of the school year.

Ripley Main Street encouraged residents to attend both evenings, the post said.
